‘Gangster’ shot lifeless in Moga

An alleged gangster was reportedly shot lifeless by unidentified individuals at Bahona village on Wednesday.
The deceased has been recognized as Jaswinder Singh, alias Jassa, a resident of Kokri Kalan village. The 25-year-old “gangster” was an affiliate of Canada-based Khalistan Tiger Drive’s (KTF) operative Arshdeep Singh, alias Arsh Dala, and KTF’s chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar. At current, he was out on bail.
SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana stated the police reached the spot instantly after studying in regards to the incident and despatched the physique to the hospital for the autopsy.
The SSP stated, “Jassa was shot lifeless. He suffered a bullet harm in his head.”
The Centre had notified Nijjar as a “designated terrorist” beneath the Illegal Actions Prevention Act (UAPA). Jassa allegedly used to provide arms to Nijjar’s key associates within the state.
Nijjar was a co-conspirator behind focused killings in Punjab, together with the homicide of a Dera Sacha Sauda follower and firing on a priest. He was additionally the prime accused within the homicide of gangster Sukha Lamme and a dealer in Moga.
In September 2021, Jassa was arrested together with Amandeep Singh, alias Machher, of Ferozepur, Balraj Singh and Arun Sarwan of Moga. —
