DC and SSP to start consciousness drive in opposition to medicine from Khatkar Kalan on April 25


NAWANSHAHR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sandeep Sharma stated that the civil and police administration would launch a large consciousness drive in opposition to drug menace from Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh on April 25.
Presiding over a gathering at his workplace, Deputy Commissioner accompanied by SSP, stated that below this sensitization drive, civil and police administration would maintain nose to nose interactions with the individuals of the villages and would hearken to their beneficial recommendations or suggestions to wipe out the menace from the society. He added that in such public interactions, the senior officers would encourage individuals to work shoulder to shoulder with authorities to get rid of the social evil from their areas and making medicine free society.
He stated that public conferences and interactions can be held frequently within the villages below this marketing campaign for making it social motion to avoid wasting our youth from scourge of medication.
NPS Randhawa stated that the recommendations and data by the individuals on the grassroots would assist to make strong mechanism in opposition to menace and would result in make the district free from the drug menace.
In the meantime, SSP Sandeep Kumar Sharma stated that the police have already been taking strict motion in opposition to the individuals concerned in drug smuggling and the menace can be nipped in bud.
