The Punjab and Haryana Excessive Courtroom on Tuesday questioned the state of Punjab on submitting of a habeas corpus plea in Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga case.
In a reduction for Bagga, Justice Anoop Chitkara’s Bench ordered continuation of interim safety to the BJP chief.
Justice Chitkara mounted the case for additional listening to publish summer time break on July 5. The case will come up for last listening to on that date.
In the meantime, Haryana handed over the Pipli police station CCTV footage.
Punjab stated Bagga ought to be part of the investigation.
Justice Chitkara stated senior functionaries of Punjab Police might query Bagga at his place in Delhi.
Senior advocate Puneet Bali on behalf of Punjab stated Bagga will not be above regulation.
Bali stated their senior police functionaries had been stopped and detained.
Haryana AG Baldev Raj Mahajan stated police acted on the premise of courtroom orders.
Satya Pal Jain, Extra Solicitor Normal, refuted the allegations of unlawful detention.
He stated that not even a single officer was detained.
An affidavit on this regard has already been filed by Delhi Police.
