Punjab Bureau of Investigation SP booked for corruption in Sangrur

Sangrur police have registered a case in opposition to Punjab Bureau of Investigation’s (PBI) Superintendent of Police (SP) on Tuesday for alleged corruption.
Police have arrested the reader- Assisstant of Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the SP and began raids to arrest the SP.
Native police had registered an FIR final evening underneath Part 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act 2018 at Sangrur Metropolis-1 police station in opposition to PBI SP Karanveer Singh for allegedly demanding and accepting Rs 3 lakh by means of his reader ASI Davinder Singh.
“ASI Davinder Singh has been arrested whereas SP Karanveer is absconding,” stated SSP Mandeep Sidhu.
The SP had denied the allegations saying he had performed nothing mistaken and the FIR was registered in opposition to him with out correct verification of details.
