Miscreants killed a petroleum pump worker on Bathinda-Jaito Highway and looted Rs 7,000 from him on Monday.
The deceased has been recognized as Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Goniana Mandi.
Gurmeet Singh, supervisor, HP Petrol Pump, stated as Mukesh was heading house round 9.15 pm on Monday, some robbers attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and fled away with Rs 7,000.
In the meantime, Nehianwala police station SHO Varun Kumar stated Mukesh was stabbed within the chest with a sharp-edged weapon. He stated the incident was being totally investigated and the miscreants could be nabbed quickly.
