Tarn Taran: The police have booked unidentified individuals for firing on the residence of an area resident after 5 minutes of creating a cellular name demanding a ransom of Rs 20 lakh. The incident created worry amongst residents of the city. The complainant, Shamsher Singh, a resident of the native Deep Avenue, acquired a cellular name from some unidentified particular person (+14372444989), an area resident on Monday evening. The caller demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh and threatened to remove his household if he didn’t make the fee. Shamsher Singh knowledgeable the police that after 5 minutes of the cellular name some unidentified individuals appeared close to his residence and fired at his residence which hit the gate of his residence. Sub-Inspector Baljit Kaur stated a case underneath Sections 387, 336, 506 and 34 of the IPC and sections of 245, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act had been registered on Tuesday.
