Bhikhiwind dera fined Rs 26L for energy theft

The Punjab State Energy Company Restricted (PSPCL) has imposed a penalty of Rs 26 lakh on a dera located at Bhikhiwind for energy theft.
The electrical energy theft on the dera in Tarn Taran district was detected by the enforcement wing.
A PSPCL spokesman stated throughout investigation on the website, the enforcement staff discovered that the theft of electrical energy was being dedicated by immediately connecting a 300 KVA transformer to the close by excessive rigidity line. An FIR has additionally been lodged on the Anti-power theft police station, Verka, Amritsar, towards the dera.
