Vet Varsity celebrates Nationwide Know-how Day

LUDHIANA: Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences College, Ludhiana in collaboration with Punjab State Council for Science & Know-how, Division of Science & Know-how, Authorities of India celebrated Nationwide Know-how Day at Village Jalwana below the mission entitled “Organising of Science Know-how & Innovation Led SC Cluster at Ludhiana”. Mr. G.Ok. Singh (IAS Retd.) graced the event as Chief Visitor together with Particular Visitor Dr. Ok.S. Tub, Joint Director, PSCST, Division of Science & Know-how, Authorities of India.

The programme commenced with the welcome deal with by Dr. Amandeep Singh (PI of the mission). Three lecture-cum-demonstrations have been carried out in programme. Dr. Suryendra Singh, KVK Barnala deliberated on agricultural applied sciences laying emphasis on built-in farming methods, optimum utilization of nitrogen and water. Dr. Arunbeer Singh, Assistant Professor delivered lecture-cum-demonstration on animal dietary applied sciences viz. urea molasses mineral block, bypass fats and mineral combination, whereas Dr. Amandeep Singh addressed the individuals relating to info and communication applied sciences developed by GADVASU for livestock farmers. He emphasised on current mission being applied by GADVASU i.e. Pashu Palak Tele Advisory Kendra whereby farmers can straight speak to College specialists on numbers 62832-58834 and 62832-97919.

Mr. G.Ok. Singh said that such occasions are instrumental in bringing optimum consciousness on the farmers’ doorsteps with which farmers can diversify their farming actions with the assistance of newly developed applied sciences. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Arunbeer Singh. 45 farmers and specialists from GADVASU and PSCST, Division of Science & Know-how, Authorities of India participated within the occasion.
