Border Safety Pressure (BSF) personnel deployed alongside the Worldwide Border (IB) right here fired a number of rounds at a drone coming from the Pakistani aspect on Saturday morning, forcing it to retreat, an official stated.

A large search operation was launched within the space to make sure no weapons or narcotics have been dropped by the flying object, he stated.

“At present within the morning, alert BSF troops noticed a blinking mild (within the sky) and instantly fired at it within the Arnia space, forcing the Pakistani flying object to return. A mixed search operation is being carried out within the space,” BSF Deputy Inspector Basic, Jammu frontier, S P Sandhu stated.

Officers stated the Pakistani drone was noticed by the border guards round 4.45 am and a few eight rounds have been fired by them to convey it down.

After hovering for a couple of minutes within the air, the drone flew again, the officers stated, including the search operation is occurring within the space falling below the R S Pura sector.

That is the second such incident to happen inside seven days. On Could 7, the BSF had opened fired at a Pakistani drone in the identical space shortly after it entered the Indian territory.
