Majitha police booked 9 individuals for killing a resident of Nangal Sohal village over a land dispute. The deceased was recognized as Bagicha Singh.

Amongst these booked have been recognized as Jasbir Singh, Kabal Singh, his spouse Babbo, his son Gurpreet Singh, all residents of Bhangwa and 5 unknown individuals.

A case underneath Part 302, 120-B, 148 and 149 of the IPC was registered towards them whereas no arrest had been made until now.

Rajwinder Kaur (55), the complainant and sister of the deceased, advised the police that from her maternal household they acquired a share over 5 acres of land within the identify of her mom, Puran Kaur. She mentioned after her demise in 2004, the land was registered on her and her brother’s identify. She alleged round three years in the past, of the 5 acres of land, about three acres was fraudulently transferred within the identify of Gurmej Singh, his brother Malkeet Singh’s wives, each residents of Bhangwan village in Majitha. A probe was underway with the tehsildar.

She mentioned the remaining two acres of land was being given to Jasbir Singh Fauji on contract foundation. She mentioned on Tuesday, her cousin Kabal Singh and his spouse Babbo referred to as her brother Bagicha Singh to Bhangwa village. She mentioned when he didn’t return, she began in search of her and reached Bhangwa village. She mentioned when she reached close to the residence of Jasbir Singh, she noticed her brother being overwhelmed up by the accused.

She mentioned Bagicha was rushed to Majitha hospital from the place he was referred to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital. He succumbed of his accidents yesterday. She alleged that the accused had killed her brother after hatching a conspiracy by calling Bagicha to the village and later murdered him. All this was finished to seize their land, she mentioned.
