Ferozepur farmers refuse to present land for rail hyperlink

The Ferozepur-Patti rail hyperlink venture, it appears, has hit one other roadblock as farmers belonging to 3 villages within the Mallanwala block have refused to offer their land for acquisition. Citing anomalies within the acquisition, they’re demanding greater compensation.

The farmers met DC Amrit Singh and submitted a memorandum. The DC stated she would take up the matter with the division involved and focus on it with the land acquisition authorities.
