Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh on Saturday put to relaxation hypothesis relating to him contesting the byelection from the Sangrur Lok Sabha constituency by posting a video on the Instagram account of his son.

Urges Shah for probe by central company

Chandigarh: Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh, accompanied by spouse Charan Kaur, on Saturday met Union Residence Minister Amit Shah and demanded an inquiry by a central company into their son’s killing. Shah promised the mother and father that the difficulty could be dealt with by the company involved on the earliest. TNS

Balkaur stated: “I’m saddened at rumours doing the rounds on social media. Individuals shouldn’t imagine these. I’m but to beat the ache of my son’s loss. I’ve no intention of contesting any election.” He urged individuals to not unfold pointless rumours. Thanking those that stood by him in his hour of misery, he appealed to the singer’s followers to attend his bhog on June 8. “I’ll share my ideas with you all on the ceremony,” he stated.

Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Friday appealed to aall political events to get singer-politician Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh elected unopposed to the Lok Sabha as “consensus candidate” from the Sangrur parliamentary constituency.

Warring made the attraction by a tweet after agricultural economist Dr Sardara Singh Johl made a suggestion on this regard. “Nothing can compensate Sidhu Moosewala’s loss to his mother and father. Dr Johl has urged Balkaur be fielded as a consensus candidate for the Sangrur bypoll and he will get elected unopposed. I endorse it. Hope all different events agree,” the PCC president wrote on Twitter, urging everybody to place politics of one-upmanship apart.

Chief of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa and Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) chief and former Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa additionally endorsed Johl’s views.
