Sangrur bypoll: Congress fields Dalvir Singh Goldy

Punjab’s predominant opposition occasion Congress has fielded former MLA Dalvir Singh Goldy for the June 23 Sangrur Lok Sabha bypoll.
Goldy will file his nomination on the final day for submitting the papers on Monday.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had defeated Goldy, who was the MLA from Dhuri, from the seat within the Meeting polls held earlier within the yr.

The Sangrur Lok Sabha seat fell vacant after Mann efficiently contested the Meeting polls from Dhuri.
Mann had gained the Lok Sabha polls from Sangrur in 2014 and 2019. The counting of votes will probably be taken up on June 26.
