
Punjab will get 4 extra DGPs
Chandigarh, June 23
The Punjab Authorities in the present day promoted 4 ADGPs, all IPS officers of the 1992 batch, to the rank of Director Normal of Police (DGP). With these promotions, the state police now have eight DGPs.
These promoted in the present day are Sharad Satya Chauhan, Harpreet Singh Sidhu, Gaurav Yadav and Kuldeep Singh. Whereas Chauhan is heading the safety wing, Sidhu is head of the Prisons Division. Yadav is posted as Particular Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Kuldeep Singh is in-charge of the Inner Vigilance Cell. Yadav is son-in-law of former DGP PC Dogra and IAS/IPS/IRS coaching batchmate of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
