3 drug peddlers nabbed in Moga

The police have arrested three smugglers and recovered 500 grams of opium and 800 intoxicating drugs from them in separate circumstances.
Moga SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana stated a drug smuggler recognized as Manjit Singh, a resident of Booh village in Tarn Taran, was arrested from Mehna village. He was driving a motorbike when the cops stopped him for checking. Throughout search, round 500-gm opium was recovered from him. Preliminary investigations revealed that he had gone to Mehna to promote the contraband to his clients.
A legal case below Sections 18, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered in opposition to him. In one other incident, the police have arrested two drug smugglers, Jassa Singh of Jaimalwala village and Ram Singh of Lande village. Cops recovered 500 intoxicating drugs and 300 intoxicating drugs from the duo.
Two separate circumstances below Sections 22, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act have been registered in opposition to them at Kot-ise-Khan and Ajitwal police stations, respectively.
