Tarn Taran: ASI dies as weapon goes off accidently

An ASI died, when his service weapon fired all of a sudden at a naka in Goindwal Sahib at Kapurthla crossing on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been recognized as Baskhshish Singh (46). He had simply come to the naka for his responsibility. Inspector Rajinder Singh, SHO, Goindwal Sahib, stated the deceased was simply taking cost of the weapons from the police social gathering that carried out the evening responsibility.

He was de-loading the journal from the SLR that went off all of a sudden and he died on the spot as a bullet pierced by his head.

The deceased is survived by his spouse and two sons aged 17 and 15 years.

A report beneath Part 174 of the CrPC was lodged on the assertion of ASI Sarbarinder Singh, who was on responsibility on the naka social gathering.
