The Rs 1,178 crore agri-machinery subsidy rip-off appears to be haunting district officers as 15 out of the 23 districts have didn’t submit the bodily verification report regardless of the deadline getting over three weeks again.

In a communication despatched on Friday, the Division of Agriculture has requested 15 district officers to both ship the studies by Monday or face disciplinary motion.

To regulate stubble burning, the Centre offered Rs 1,178 crore subsidy in 4 years (2018-19 to 2021-22) to farmers for purchasing crop-residual administration equipment beneath In-Situ Crop Residual Administration Scheme.
