Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has mentioned the state authorities has supplied Rs 39.55-crore help to households of 789 farmers, who died throughout the protest on the Delhi borders in opposition to the now-repealed agricultural legal guidelines.

Every household had obtained Rs 5 lakh, the CM mentioned in a press release.

About Rs 5.85 crore has been given to 117 households in Sangrur, Rs 5.55 crore to 111 households in Patiala, Rs 4.60 crore to 89 households in Mansa district, Rs 4.15 crore to 83 households in Bathinda, Rs 3.45 crore to 69 households in Moga, Rs 50 lakh to 10 households in Fazilka, Rs 2.37 crore to 48 households in Ludhiana, Rs 2.15 crore to 43 households in Barnala, Rs 1.05 crore to 21 households in Tarn Taran, Rs 95 lakh to 19 households in Amritsar, Rs 35 lakh to seven households in Nawanshahr and Rs 50 lakh to 10 households in Mohali.

In addition to, the federal government has supplied Rs 1.73 crore to 35 households in Muktsar, Rs 1 crore to twenty households in Gurdaspur, Rs 1.5 crore to 30 households in Faridkot, Rs 1.2 crore to 24 households in Fatehgarh Sahib, Rs 60 lakh to 12 households in Jalandhar, Rs 75 lakh to fifteen households in Ferozepur, Rs 50 lakh to 10 households in Hoshiarpur, Rs 5 lakh to at least one household in Kapurthala, Rs 20 lakh to 4 households in Malerkotla, and Rs 55 lakh to 11 households in Ropar.

Mann mentioned the state authorities was duty-bound to safeguard the pursuits of farmers and their households. “Each promise made to farmers will likely be fulfilled,” he mentioned.

Mann reiterated his authorities’s dedication to bail farmers out of the agrarian disaster.
