326 farmers to get machines on subsidy

The District Agricultural Division has given a nod to 326 farmers for buying 392 machines below the Central scheme — Promotion of Agricultural Mechanisation for In-Situ Administration of Crop Residue.
Chief Agriculture Officer Dr Jatinder Singh Gill stated the chosen beneficiaries have been required to purchase the machines inside the stipulated time and supply the invoice receipts to the division after finishing all formalities. The subsidy quantity can be straight transferred to the financial institution accounts of the farmers after verification, he stated.
