BMW denies establishing plant in Punjab

In a significant embarrassment to the state authorities, BMW Group in India stated it has no plans for establishing extra manufacturing operations in Punjab.

“The BMW Group is firmly dedicated to its Indian operations with its manufacturing plant in Chennai, a components warehouse in Pune, a coaching centre in Gurgaon NCR and a well-developed seller community throughout main metropolitans of the nation. BMW Group India has no plans for establishing extra manufacturing operations in Punjab,” said a press launch issued by BMW Group India.

CM mann should make clear

The BMW Group has denied establishing of any plant in Punjab as claimed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Can the CM make clear his place on this or was he mendacity to the entire state? —Partap Bajwa, Lop
