Gang of motorcycle thieves busted, 4 held in Amritsar

Town police busted a gang of motorbike thieves. 4 miscreants have been arrested and 20 stolen bikes from their possession have been recovered within the Chheharta space.
The arrested accused have been recognized as Vishal, alias Karan, Harjinder Singh, alias Laddu, Akashdeep Singh, alias Akash, and Gurbinder Singh, alias Gujar, residents of Panjwad Kalan village, close to Jhabal in Tarn Taran.
ASI Balwinder Singh stated throughout a routine checking at Cheharta Chowk on September 10, Vishal and Harjinder have been intercepted by a police workforce. Throughout checking, the police discovered that the registration plate of their bike was faux. After arresting and interrogating them, the police received details about 4 extra stolen bikes, which have been recovered. Additionally they named two of their accomplices — Akashdeep and Gurbinder Singh. Following which, they have been additionally arrested with 4 bikes.
After presenting the arrested accused in a court docket and getting police remand, they have been interrogated completely. A complete of 20 bikes, together with 15 Splendor bikes, three Platina bikes and two Pulsar bikes, have been recovered from the accused.
A case underneath Sections 379, 411 and 473 of the IPC has been registered towards them.
