Airline worker held with gold value Rs 54.70 lakh at Amritsar airport

The customs division on Friday mentioned it has seized gold value Rs 54.70 lakh from a passenger coming from Dubai on the Sri Guru Ram Das Jee Worldwide Airport right here.
In an announcement, it mentioned the gold was seized from an worker of a non-public airline on September 15.
The accused was intercepted by officers of the division and searched, the division mentioned, including that two packets wrapped in black adhesive tape and containing 9 gold biscuits weighing 1,050 grams had been discovered on him.
