The police have arrested an individual and seized counterfeit packaging of Tata salt, Patanjali mustard oil and Harpic bathroom cleaner from his possession.

The accused has been recognized as Gian Singh, a resident of Bann Majra village.

Hussanpreet Singh from Pace Search and Safety Networks had lodged a criticism on this regard.

The complainant mentioned there have been a number of experiences of counterfeit merchandise (talked about above) being bought within the space. He mentioned salt and mustard oil of cheaper manufacturers was being refilled and bought in packaging of branded merchandise.

SHO Harpreet Singh mentioned that they had seized 497 packets of Tata salt, 170 bottles of Patanjali mustard oil and 961 bottles of Harpic. Cops additionally confiscated 140 grams of opium from the accused. A case has been registered underneath Part 63 of the Copyright Act and the NDPS Act.
