Vigilance registers case towards 4 officers of Ludhiana Enchancment Belief

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau, throughout its marketing campaign towards corruption, on Friday registered one other corruption case pertaining to allotment of residential plots within the Ludhiana Enchancment Belief (LIT) below regionally displaced individuals’ (LDP) scheme towards Boota Ram now Government Engineer, Jagdev Singh Government Engineer (XEN), Inderjeet Singh Junior Engineer, LIT, Mandeep Singh Junior Engineer of Municipal Company Ludhiana and Kamaldeep Singh, a non-public individual, resident of Mannequin City Extension, Ludhiana. On this case Jagdev Singh XEN, Inderjeet Singh and Mandeep Singh (Each JEs) and Kamaldeep Singh have been arrested.

On this case Inderjeet Singh JE, Boota Ram Belief Engineer and Jasdeep Singh XEN, Mandeep Singh JE MC Ludhiana had ready false/fabricated reviews to the LIT relating to non availability of water and sewerage amenities within the above mentioned locality.

With an intention to favour the allottee, the above talked about officers/officers had waved off a non-construction advantageous amounting to Rs 27 lakh with out getting approval from competent authority whereas it was required to be charged from the allottee thereby inflicting big monetary loss to the state exchequer.

The spokesperson additional added that earlier to this an identical case below FIR No 09 below part 7, 7A, 8, 12, 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act and below part 409, 420, 467, 471, 120-B of IPC had already been registered at VB Police Station, Financial Offences Wing, Ludhiana for allotment of plots below LDP scheme by getting big bribes from the beneficiaries.

On this case investigation was being carried out towards the officers of LIT which included Raman Balasubramanium, former chairman LIT, Kuljit Kaur EO, Ankit Narang SDO, Parveen Kumar gross sales clerk, Gagandeep clerk and Sandeep Sharma PA to former chairman. Among the many above talked about accused Sandeep Sharma PA, Parveen Kumar Clerk and Kuljit Kaur EO have already been arrested and lodged in judicial custody.
