Inspector Basic Iqbal Singh Chauhan, has taken over because the Commander Coast Guard Area (North East), Kolkata. Hailing from Gurdaspur in Punjab and an alumnus of Guru Nanak Dev College, Amritsar, he belongs to the thirteenth Direct Entry Coast Guard Course.
