Below Rs 9L debt, farmer ends life

A debt-ridden farmer allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself at Khara village within the district this morning. He has been recognized as 36-year-old Amrik Singh.
Jagshir Singh, a pacesetter of the BKU (Ekta Ugrahan), mentioned, “Amrik Singh owned three acres of agricultural land. He had taken Rs 9-lakh mortgage. Final 12 months, his cotton crop obtained broken because of pink bollworm assault and this season, he suffered losses because of low yield of wheat and whitefly assault on his crop. He was underneath stress as a result of monetary burden.”
The sufferer is survived by his spouse and son.
