Punjab Agricultural College, CICR ink pact to spice up cotton analysis
Ludhiana, September 20
Punjab Agricultural College (PAU), Ludhiana, and the Central Institute for Cotton Analysis (CICR), Nagpur, have signed a memorandum of understanding immediately to advertise inter-institutional analysis, workers and college students’ coaching and postgraduate analysis in leading edge areas of cotton crop.
PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal revealed that regardless of having just one.53 per cent geographical space, Punjab has been producing 10 per cent of cotton within the nation. Nonetheless, the area has been dealing with issues like white fly or pink bollworm in cotton fields for the previous few years, he mentioned.
Dr YG Prasad, Director, CICR, mentioned joint research would improve productiveness and allow India to grow to be a cotton exporting nation.
