Punjab Governor cancels particular session of Vidhan Sabha; ‘democracy over’, tweets Kejriwal

Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Wednesday withdrew an order summoning a particular session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on September 22.

In a contemporary order, the Governor stated the September 20 order stands withdrawn in absence of particular guidelines concerning summoning of the meeting for contemplating the ‘confidence movement’ solely known as by the Punjab authorities.

Reacting to the event Aam Aadmi Occasion convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated, “How can Governor cancel the session known as by the Cupboard. The democracy is over.”

The Governor has give his nod two days in the past, Kejriwal tweeted.
