Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar stated on Wednesday he had acquired complaints pertaining to irregularities on the Sri Muktsar Sahib depot of the Punjab Roadways, following which a group was shaped to conduct a preliminary investigation.

In a press release issued right here, Bhullar stated on the premise of the report submitted by the probe group, the final supervisor of the depot, Ranjit Singh Bagga, sub-inspector Balwinder Singh, senior assistant Pargat Singh and conductor Gursharan Singh had been suspended on the costs of inflicting monetary loss to the state exchequer and indulging in corrupt actions.

The minister stated these officers used to gather cash from non-public buses however didn’t give a receipt of the identical.

They’ve been suspended below Rule 4(2)(a) of the Punjab Civil Providers (Punishment and Attraction) Guidelines, 1970, minister added.
