Farmers protest police inaction in assault case

Totally different unions of farmers, together with labourers, ladies and different individuals staged a dharna in entrance of the Chohla Sahib police station right here on Tuesday. They expressed their resentment over alleged police atrocities on widespread man.

Members of the Zamhoori Kisan Sabha led by Jagir Singh, Dehati Mazdoor Sabha led by Chand Singh Toot, Janwadi Istri Sabha led by Kulwinder Kaur and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Naujawan Sabha led by Sulakhan Singh Tur participated within the dharna.

Daljit Singh Dialpur and Chaman Lal Darajke have been amongst others who addressed on the event. They condemned the state authorities for alleged police atrocities being dedicated on the widespread man. They alleged poor sections of society have been being disadvantaged of justice because the police have been allegedly dancing to the tunes of leaders of the ruling get together.

The leaders alleged Karanbir Singh and otherly-abled Sukhdev Singh, a resident of Gandiwind Dhattal, have been attacked by their neighbourers. Although a case had been registered in opposition to the accused 5 months in the past, that they had not been arrested as but. SHO Sub-Inspector Balraj Singh assured the protesters that the accused could be arrested quickly and the dharna was lifted.
