Punjab Vigilance Bureau nabs man for embezzlement

The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) throughout its ongoing marketing campaign in opposition to corruption on Thursday arrested a resident of Dhoolka village in Amritsar for embezzlement. The accused has been recognized as Jagjit Singh. He allegedly misappropriated an quantity of Rs 9,75,771 in connivance with officers of the Central Cooperative Financial institution, Tarsika.
A spokesperson of VB mentioned the accused, in connivance with financial institution supervisor Rakesh Kumar, cashier Ram Kishore and secretary Kulwant Singh, encashed the cash after transferring it to the non-public accounts of accused in different banks whereas the cooperative financial institution couldn’t switch such quantity from offline account of kisan bank card to different financial institution accounts.
He mentioned through the investigation, it was discovered that the financial institution officers had transferred Rs 51,94,900 to different banks in Gehri Mandi in Amritsar.
Seven accused had already been arrested who had dedicated this fraud within the above mentioned financial institution to the tune of Rs 24 crore.
