Chandigarh court docket begins PO proceedings towards Goldy Brar

A neighborhood court docket has issued a proclamation towards Satwinder Singh, alias Goldy Brar, in an extortion case registered by the Chandigarh Police in February this yr.

Beneath Part 82, CrPC, a court docket can publish a proclamation requiring the accused to look if warrant issued towards him can’t be executed.

The police had registered the case on the criticism of a businessman, who alleged that he had acquired a name from a person figuring out himself to be Goldy Brar in January. He threatened to kidnap his kids if he didn’t pay Rs 1 crore. Later, he was informed to pay Rs 25 lakh to 1 Manjit Singh who informed him that he was a relative of alleged gangster Sampat Nehra. Manjit was arrested on February 9.
