The Amritsar Customs Commissionerate has seized 410-gm gold from a passenger who arrived from Dubai at Sri Guru Ram Das Jee Worldwide Airport at present.

The passenger was carrying gold within the type of paste, which was hid between the layers of his vest and a carboard field. Rahul Nangare, Commissioner of Customs (P), Amritsar, mentioned a passenger who arrived by a Spicejet flight from Dubai was intercepted after crossing by means of the inexperienced channel.

“Our officers questioned him if he was carrying any valuable metallic or contraband, however he replied in damaging. But, our officers did his private search. Throughout examination of his baggage, officers discovered that he had hid gold within the paste kind,” he mentioned. The market worth of the seized gold stood at Rs 21.69 lakh.
