Punjab Agricultural College will get patent for soilless farming
Ludhiana, November 24
The Punjab Agricultural College (PAU) has obtained a nationwide patent for growing indigenous hybrid hydroponics know-how for soilless farming.
In a communication obtained from the Patent Workplace, Authorities of India, it was said: “Patentee is granted a nationwide patent for inventing improved water and nutrient perforation and re-circulation system for pot primarily based substrate hydroponics.”
This analysis was carried out by Dr VP Sethi, Professor and Head, Division of Mechanical Engineering, PAU, wherein an progressive pot-based hybrid hydroponics know-how (HHT) was designed, developed and examined for higher plant development, extra water, nutrient financial savings and the next yield inside a semi-automatic micro-climatically managed greenhouse. The low-cost know-how has potential to revolutionise rooftop-based vertical gardening within the city areas.
