Anticipatory bail for Capt’s former OSD

The Punjab and Haryana Excessive Courtroom at the moment allowed the anticipatory bail plea of Capt Sandeep Singh Sandhu, officer on particular responsibility (OSD) to former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, in alleged streetlight rip-off involving Rs 65 lakh.
“Petitioner Sandhu is acknowledged to have remained as OSD to the previous Chief Minister. However as on the date of prevalence, he was not holding any workplace. Even the Chief Minister had resigned on September 18, 2021, a lot previous to prevalence. In these circumstances, it can’t be mentioned petitioners Sandhu and Harpreet Singh have been holding any place to have exercised any form of undue affect,” Justice Gurvinder Singh Gill asserted.
An FIR within the matter was registered on September 27, 2022, beneath the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and the IPC.
