Many trains originating and terminating their run on the Amritsar railway station can be diverted and rescheduled for a fortnight from January 13 as a consequence of non-interlocking work between the Chhintanwala and Nabha railway station on the Rajpura-Bathinda part.

The trains to be diverted would be the (11057) Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Amritsar Specific starting from January 13 to 22 to run by way of Ambala Cantt, Rajpura and Ludhiana. It would skip stoppages at Patiala, Nabha, Dhuri, Malerkotla and Ahmedgarh. The (11058) Amritsar-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Dadar Specific JCO January 15 to 24 can be diverted to run by way of Ludhiana, Rajpura, Ambala Cantonment and it’ll miss out stations of Ahmedgarh, Malerkotla, Dhuri, Nabha and Patiala throughout this era.
