Heath Dept employees observe 2 hour pen-down strike

Staff of the Heath Division below the banner of the Punjab State Aids Management Staff Welfare Affiliation noticed a two-hour pen-down strike in opposition to their retrenchment from service.
The workers held a protest within the workplace of the Civil Surgeon. Harjit Singh, district president of the affiliation, whereas addressing on the event, stated that they had been working below the Union Authorities’ Nationwide AIDS Management Organisation (NACO) for the final 12 years on meagre wage. The state authorities had by no means considered regularisation of their service.
He condemned the state authorities for its proposed transfer to terminate them from the service. He stated a couple of state governments had regularised the service of workers working below the NACO.
The workers demanded regularisation of their providers.
