
Set up of road lights on Ram Tirath highway commences

Energy Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO inaugurated the work of putting in streets lights on the 8-km-long stretch from the Guru Nanak Dev College bypass highway to the historic Ram Tirath shrine on Wednesday.
Talking on the event, the minister mentioned a complete of 616 LED road lights could be put in on 308 poles on the stretch to facilitate commuters at night time. The venture could be accomplished at a value of Rs 1.90 crore. The minister claimed that the venture could be accomplished inside two months.
The Energy Minister mentioned free energy of as much as 600 models per family had benefited 90 per cent of the shoppers within the state in the course of the present month as they’d acquired zero electrical energy payments.
