3 booked for PDS wheat pilferage

Officers of the Malerkotla Crime Investigations Company (CIA) have registered a case towards three individuals for allegedly making flour from wheat, which was meant for Public Distribution System (PDS). The police have confiscated 1,300 kg of wheat and arrested two individuals.

As per FIR registered at Amargarh police station below 420, 120-B IPC and seven of EC Act, CIA In-charge Inspector Harjinder Singh acknowledged that he acquired secret data that the suspects, Harwinder Singh, Anantpal Singh and Mohammad Salim, had been concerned within the making flour from wheat meant for PDS and promoting the flour at the next charge.

“After getting data, we have now confiscated 1,300 kg of wheat and registered a case towards three individuals. We’ve got arrested Anantpal and Mohammad and conducting raids to arrest Harwinder,” mentioned the inspector.
