Shifting of saroops: SGPC panel to satisfy Sindhi neighborhood

Within the wake of a row over the shifting of saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib from the residences and shrines belonging to the Sindhi neighborhood in Indore, the SGPC’s ‘dharam parchar’ panel is about to method the neighborhood quickly.
Earlier, the SGPC panel was despatched to ease the strain between the Sindhi and Sikh communities after the activists of Punjab-based Satkar Committee had forcibly taken away 74 saroops from the residences and shrines of Sindhi neighborhood whereas alleging a violation of the Sikh rehat maryada. Later, the saroops had been shifted to Gurdwara Imli Sahib, Indore.
SGPC Basic Secretary Gurcharan Singh Grewal mentioned, “The Sindhi households had resolved to be related to the Sikh traditions and tenets. The necessity was to show and assist them. Now, one other panel of consultants would go to Indore to apprise the Sindhi neighborhood members concerning the Sikh rehat maryada that needs to be maintained throughout sewa of the saroops.”
