1 held on the market of pretend liquor in Jandiala
Amritsar: The Amritsar Rural Police have arrested a lady, recognized as Vir Kaur, a resident of Chhapa Ram Singh in Jandiala, for allegedly promoting adulterated liquor. The police recovered 9 cans containing round 448 bottles of additional impartial alcohol, in addition to a can containing 49 bottles of illicit liquor manufactured from ENA was recovered from her. The raid was carried out at her residence following a tip-off. The informer instructed the police that Vir Kaur was concerned in manufacturing and promoting illicit liquor by manufacturing from ENA. A case below the Excise Act and dishonest was registered towards her. TNS
Three held for snatching cellphone
Amritsar: The police have arrested three snatchers, recognized as Mohammad Soni, Farman Ali and Farmandeen, who allegedly snatched a cell phone from a Verka resident Prince Kumar on January 3. Whereas Soni and Ali had been nabbed just a few days in the past, their third confederate Farmadeen was arrested on Saturday. The police recovered weapons and the bike used within the crime.
