Punjab police get ‘prime heavy’ as seven officers promoted to DGP rank

Punjab police have turn into prime heavy as seven officers have been promoted to the DGP rank. Amongst these promoted is Gurpreet Kaur Deo, making her the primary girl officer to get DGP rank.
Varinder Kumar, Ishwar Singh, Jitendra Kumar Jain, Satish Kumar Asthana, Shashi Prabha Dwivedi and Rajendra Namdeo Dhoke have been additionally promoted to DGP rank as per an order issued on Monday.
