Moga lady ‘offered as slave’ in Oman

A younger lady of town has allegedly been lured by a journey agent and his spouse on the pretext of offering her a job of a babysitter in Oman on a month-to-month package deal of Rs 40,000 however offered her to a Sheikh.

Now, she is within the unlawful captivity of an influential household.

Her husband Buta Singh has approached the SSP for assist and likewise lodged a criticism towards the journey agent.

Buta Singh stated they managed to satisfy the bills of air ticket, visa and agent charge of Rs 1.50 lakh by promoting jewelry and borrowing some cash from the family members.

A number of months again, she left for Oman. On reaching there, a household acquired her and took her to their house. Her passport was taken by them.

SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana stated the police had registered a prison case beneath Sections 420, 346, 370-A of the IPC and Part 13 of the Punjab Journey Skilled Regulation Act, 2014, towards journey agent Ravi Singh alias Nikku and his spouse Jaspal Kaur, each residents of Mansoordeva village of Ferozepur district.
