VB questions Cong MLA Pahra’s kin for hours

Sleuths of the Amritsar Vigilance vary carried out a ‘technical evaluation’ of two prime properties allegedly owned by the household of sitting Congress MLA Barindermeet Singh Pahra.
The legislator and his kin have been underneath the Vigilance scanner for the previous few weeks.
Officers in the present day visited the MLA’s palatial residence and likewise a shopping center by which his household reportedly has monetary stake.
The group comprised Jogeshwar Singh Goraya, DSP (Vigilance), Gurdaspur, and Inderjit Singh, Inspector, Amritsar vary. It was accompanied by an Government Engineer, SDO and a JE, all from the PWD. Two authorities witnesses, too, have been current.
Sources say Pahra’s father Gurmeet Singh and brother Baljit Singh Pahra have been questioned.
Baljit can also be the president of the Gurdaspur Municipal Committee (MC).
“As soon as the evaluation is accomplished, we’ll query members of the family concerning the supply of funds used for the development of the shopping center and their home,” stated an officer.
Earlier, on December 6, the MLA, his father, brother and a relative have been grilled for practically seven hours. SSP, Vigilance (Amritsar vary), Varinder Singh, DSP Nirmal Singh and Inspector Chetan Salaria have been members of the group that questioned him. At the moment, Pahra was handed over some varieties which he was speculated to fill and undergo the VB.
DSP Nirmal Singh was transferred within the final week of December. He was changed by Goraya.
