Aged man killed in scuffle

Jagir Singh (70), a resident of Gurdaspur, died at a personal hospital yesterday after sustaining accidents in a scuffle in Johal Pandher village per week in the past.

The police have booked two individuals — Hardev Singh and his father Jagtar Singh — on this regard.

Satinder Singh, the son of the deceased, advised the police that he had gone to the Soni Palace in Fatehgarh Churian with some relations on January 16 to attend a marriage. His father Jagir Singh and his uncle Nirmal Singh, however, have been in Johal Pandher village. The next day, he was knowledgeable that his father had been admitted to a personal hospital.

When his father regained consciousness on January 18, he advised his son that Hardev Singh and his father Jagtar Singh, who have been family members of Nirmal Singh’s daughter-in-law, had thrashed him. Jagtar fell unconscious once more. Afterward January 22, he succumbed to his accidents.
