
Farmers search probe in sugar mill air pollution

Leaders of assorted farmers unions affiliated with the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha have submitted a memorandum to the district administration. They’ve demanded a probe into complaints pertaining to the air pollution attributable to the Rana Sugar Mills, Lauhuka.
The unions have additionally demanded that the Cooperative Sugar Mills, Sheron, — which has been shut for a number of years — be reopened.
The memorandum was obtained by District Income Officer (DRO) Aditiya Gupta within the absence of the Deputy Commissioner.
Kaumi Kisan Union chief Tarsem Singh Lohar led the leaders of the farmers unions.
