NRI attacked in Jagraon, pictures fired into the air

Ludhiana, January 24

A number of individuals attacked a Hong Kong-based NRI, who’s a local of Jagraon. The assailants reportedly fired within the air to intimidate him.

The police have registered a case towards Deepinder Singh, alias Deepa of Barnala, Kulwinder Singh of Jagraon and 5 unknown individuals.

Complainant Inderjit Singh claimed that the accused was his good buddies and he typically helped them financially.

“On January 22, the duo referred to as me and requested for an enormous sum of cash. Once I refused, the accused threatened to kill me and my household. Later, they together with their 5 aides got here to my home and attacked me. After I raised alarm, the accused fled of their SUV,” alleged the complainant.

Inderjit alleged, “As I used to be informing concerning the incident to the police personnel, they got here again and began firing within the air to intimidate me. Earlier than cops may catch them, they fled in direction of Malak Chowk.”

DSP Satwinder Singh Virk stated the accused had not demanded extortion from the NRI and the previous had outdated dispute with the complainant.

The DSP said that that they had launched a probe and raids have been being carried out to nab the assailants.
