A Mohali courtroom at present despatched former Forest Minister and Congress chief Sadhu Singh Dharamsot to three-day police remand for amassing property disproportionate to his recognized sources of earnings.
The Vigilance Bureau (VB) had arrested Dharamsot within the disproportionate property case.
A VB spokesperson mentioned following an investigation, a case beneath Sections 13(1) (b) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act was registered on the bureau’s vary police station in Mohali towards Dharamsot.
He additional mentioned in the course of the interval from March 1, 2016, to March 31, 2022, the earnings of the previous minister and his household was Rs 2,37,12,596.48 whereas the expenditure was Rs 8,76,30,888.87. The earnings was 269 per cent greater than minister’s recognized sources of earnings, he added.
