Over 6,000 educated in dairy farming beneath entrepreneurship programme

To be able to make rural youth self-reliant by means of dairy occupation, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Improvement Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar on Sunday mentioned 6,116 farmers have been given superior dairy farming coaching this 12 months beneath the Dairy Entrepreneurship Coaching Program.

Apart from, a four-week lengthy dairy entrepreneurship coaching programme can be organised from February 20 at 9 dairy coaching & extension centres by the Dairy Improvement Division to impart technical expertise to farmers aspiring to arrange their very own dairy farms.

The minister mentioned the programme can be organised at 9 districts — Ropar (Chaitamali), Ludhiana (Bija), Moga (Gill), Jalandhar (Phagwara), Sri Muktsar Sahib (Abul Khurana), Amritsar (Verka), Mansa (Sardulgarh), Tarn Taran and Sangrur.

He mentioned, at these programmes, superior coaching can be imparted to the members to assist modernise current dairy farming in a scientific method.

Yearly, the goal of coaching 6,600 farmers beneath two-week coaching program and 1,000 youths beneath the four-week dairy entrepreneurship coaching program has been mounted.

Thus far, 21 batches of each applications have been performed by which 6,116 farmers have been educated.
