
60-year-old man thrashes spouse to demise in Punjab’s Gurdaspur, tries to cremate her at their home

A 60-year-old man was arrested after he thrashed his spouse to demise and tried to cremate her physique at their home in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district, police mentioned on Friday.
On Thursday night time, Sansar Chand, a resident of Paniar village in Dinanagar, badly thrashed his spouse following an argument, they mentioned.
Mahindro, 55, died after sustaining critical accidents.
Sansar, who works as a labourer, then tried to burn her physique at their home after accumulating wooden, Dinanagar police station in-charge Main Singh mentioned.
A police staff reached the spot and extracted the half-burnt physique after locals raised an alarm, he mentioned.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Sansar used to struggle together with his spouse and assault her, Singh mentioned.
The couple’s son works in Himachal Pradesh.
A case of homicide was registered in opposition to the person and the physique despatched for autopsy, police mentioned.
